Old blog

I have been noticing that I didn't put a link to my old blog (the "zwickerblogging/Thoughts from Becky"one). Now those people who have the old link on their blog/website, it goes to this crazy place called "Get the Man of your dreams" . It's not me.... I married the man of my dreams. :-)
I've been a little busy and distracted with being a mom lately and I don't know if there is a way that I could fix this. A little while ago, I sent an email saying that I have a new blog address but that didn't seem to help. I wish I could've been more "with it" about this and not canceled my old blog and just had a link so that people wouldn't get sent to this crazy website.
I'm sorry that this happened. I hope I can find some way of fixing this problem.

coming in from the cold

I think this is a black widow. (Sorry about the blur) I didn't want to get too close to this guy. Yikes! He was right outside our front door a few months ago when it was really hot.
The past month, the temperature has gotten a lot colder and now the spiders want to be inside to stay warm. Lately, I've been caught by surprise by these ugly light brown colored spiders.
I don't like spiders. They love to hide in dark covered places like in closets and nice warm bathrooms, just waiting to scare someone (me).

I've been packing and getting ready for our trip to So Cal. We leave in a few days.
Gotta go for now, a little boy is trying to get his mommy's attention. :-)

brrrrrrrrrr

It's officially fall now in the Pacific Northwest. And my goodness it's cold. I've been hearing that Washington gets the 4 seasons and this morning I got to experience the chill in the air.
I went to the park this morning for a couple of hours with a few other moms. I've really been enjoying getting to know the others moms around here. I feel like I'm fitting in and for me that feels great, especially since we are new to the area.

I bought a new hat and some mittens for Eric because his poor little ears and hands were so cold. I guess I'll have to buy a few more outfits and a big heavy coat for him for the winter. I think it's going to be super freezing this winter. It's not even November yet and it's been cold at night and in the morning. This is a big change coming from the Sunny and warm Orange County that we just moved from. Actually, I'm originally from Northern Cal and it gets cold up there but I think I've gotten used to the warm/mild Orange County weather.

weight problem

I need to lose weight and I'm getting rather depressed about it. Especially when I see these other moms who have 3 or 4 kids and even 8 (!!!!!) kids and look perfect. I don't know how they do it.
Maybe they have the thin genes or something. Anyway, I've been working on it but it's been difficult. I just didn't think I'd still have this weight almost 1 year later. It's ridiculous. I don't like it and I especially don't like the fact that I still can't fit into most of my old clothes.

I know that I should be happy that I'm a mom and that Eric is the cutest baby in the world. (Yeah, yeah...... I know he is :-).... But that ugly fat on my is soooooo stubborn.
I'll keep working on it. I'm going to go for a walk now.

busy

In a few weeks, the 3 of us are flying down to California for a wedding. David's (triplet) sister is getting married and I'm going to be a bridesmaid. I'm looking forward to that. This time I think the flight will be a bit different. Eric will be teething and be eating solid foods and we won't be able to bring the car seat on the plane. He'll have to sit in our laps. That should be interesting.

Eric doesn't like to eat meat that much. He does like chicken but only if it's with apples or broccoli. He still likes his pureed squash, sweet potatoes and most of the fruits. But the problem that I'm noticing is that he seems to just gulp all of his foods down because most of them are all really soft and pureed. That doesn't work too well with the bite sized pieces of meat or vegetables that the 3rd foods has. He ends up gagging and practically choking on the pieces. Anyway, I'm hoping that it gets better and he can master the new foods around his 1st birthday.
I've just started walking again with the stroller. Since Eric and I have both been well, I've been taking walks in the afternoon. The weather has been so nice lately. But it has been cooling off in the evening.

It looks like David and I will have to buy some more clothes for Eric. Or should I say buy some more again. He is growing some more and he is tall. Some of his onesies still fit but most of his pants don't and are too short. It seems like every few months he grows and then "outgrows" his outfits.

He is starting to pull himself up into a standing position and he will also stand for a short time if he is holding on to something.
