hair dryer

My hair dryer just died. It started smoking. I was using it a little ealier today and then when I went to use it later, it made a strange noise and started smoking. So I turned it off. Guess that means I'll need to buy a new one. I've had it for about 2 years. They don't make them like they use to. Actually there was a time when hair dryers didn't exist. Someone had to invent them right? I'm not sure what girls did before that. Imagine having to air dry your hair. You couldn't curl it or style it because it would be wet. Hmmmmm...... What a bummer that would be. I think we take things for granted now that we have them. Modern technology. What would we do with out it?

married and no kids? Unheard of.....

Yes that's right. It seems as though if you have been married for 2 or more years that it's time to start having kids. That seems to be normal now days. Well, my husband and I are different. We are celebrating ( I hope any way ) our 3 year anniversary in August. We have been going to school and working. So we just aren't ready for kids right now. I seem to be having enough problems of my own with out having a little baby to think about. They just seem to make life more complicated. I know that they can be cute and all but really..... who wants a crying baby when you can hardly afford to pay the rent? Not me. Well, that is all for my baby tangent for now. I am sure that it will come up again.

Reading

This is my first blog experience. I have been reading in the book of Psalms a lot lately. It is encouraging to read when you are feeling down. Some of these verses just jump out at me. The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit. Psalm 34 verse 18. There are so many promises in the Bible. I find comfort when I continue to read these verses over and over.
