Found a verse

I just found a verse that helps me to cope. Isaiah 42 v.16: "I will lead the blind by ways they have not known, along unfamiliar paths I will guide them; I will turn the darkness into light before them and make the rough places smooth." NIV (expanded edition)
Another note: Has anyone heard about microwaves and standing too close to one while it' s operating during pregnancy? I've read something in a book that I have but I don't know if microwaves during pregnancy are really unsafe and not recommended.

The Lord has a special place in his heart for mothers and their young. I love Isaiah 40:11 He will lead his flock like a shepherd; he shall gather the lambs with his arm, and carry them in his bosom, and shall gently lead those that are with young. :) I found an FDA link about microwave ovens. Pretty safe, but still wisdom would recommend normal caution.

Here's some info about microwave radiation. The holes in the door that allow you to see your food while it's cooking are too small for microwaves to escape through them, since they're smaller than the wavelength of the microwaves, which get reflected off of the metal door back into the oven, just like visible light is reflected off of a mirror. Even if they did escape, it's non-ionizing radiation, so all it would do would be to cause water molecules to resonate and therefore heat up.

"Non-ionizing" means that the photons in microwaves don't have enough energy to break a chemical bond in a molecule that they hit. The only chemical change from microwaves happens inside the oven when enough water molecules get excited and produce heat, which cooks the food. Please note that this is an indirect result of the microwaves, and it would happen in any situation where heat is produced, and in the same exact way.

Please don't be scared by pseudo-science.

I have not tried this experiment but I've read that if you water two plants and use microwaved water for one of the plants the plant with the water heated in the microwave will die.
