Flowers are good therapy
These are the flowers I planted last Spring. I hope to be able to plant some this year. I think gardening/landscaping will be my new hobby or outlet.
I have also noticed that when I spend time outside in our yard, I feel more relaxed. I also enjoy seeing a positive result. Today I mowed the lawn and used the weed eater/edger. It looks so much better and I feel better too now that it's done.
I hope to be able to take pictures after I plant the new flowers.

I'm discovering the same thing!! Last weekend I made a few garden boxes and felt so accomplished--all I'd done was nailed some boards together!! I think it's just the idea of getting to FINISH something! Yay for being outdoors and finishing stuff! :)

You should grow some food too, in addition to flowers.

I need your help! :-) Your flowers look beautiful.
I have no green thumb. We are trying to resurrect our yard and get some flowers planted, too. Last night I pulled weeds, which wasn't totally fun but sort of nice in a way.

Thanks for the comments :-)
I enjoy seeing a finished project. I'm glad I had the time to plant some flowers this past weekend. I'll put pictures up soon.
Tim, I wouldn't mind planting some veggies but I don't have the room and the place right next to our house probably isn't the best place to plant them.
Alison, Thanks! :-) Last Spring was my first experience with planting flowers. I'm surprised they turned out so well. We'll see how they do this time. I just planted some lilies and petunias since the front side doesn't get a lot of sun.
Flowers are pretty to look at and they really give the outside of the house some color.

I love spending time out in the gardens! It's true, it really is relaxing. You could plant some vegetables in pots. I bought a $5 rubbermade tote and put 6 strawberry plants in it and old 5 gallon paint buckets are just perfect for a tomato plant each. Lettuce grows well just about anywhere too. We're moving at the end of the spring, so this year my plan was to do all my gardening in something portable since it will be too late to start a garden after the move.
And your flowers DO look beautiful!
