Hanging on the Promises of God

I'm not sure how far I will get on this post because my boys don't stay busy for more than a few minutes. Eric decides that playing on the changing table or playing with his Mommy's make-up is more fun than playing blocks with his brother.

I'd like to share a few things. In the past few weeks I have been going to a Woman's Bible Study at our Church. It's on the book of John and it has a book with questions to go along with it.
I haven't been focusing on the questions all that much but instead I've been reading through the verses and references that are in the book.
John 16 v20-22 really jumped out off of the page and seemed to go right into my heart.
"I tell you the truth, you will weep and mourn over what is going to happen to me, but the world will rejoice. You will grieve, but your grief will suddenly turn to wonderful joy. It will be like a woman suffering the pains of labor. When her child is born, her anguish gives way to joy because she has brought a new baby into the world. So you have sorrow now, but I will see you again; then you will rejoice and no one can rob you of that joy. (John 16.20-22 NLT)

This Bible study has been such a comfort to me. Praise the Lord!

I don't have time to finish this post right now. My boys need me and I need to get Eric ready for preschool.

Thanks for sharing your heart! It is inspiring to see you find comfort as God speaks to you through the Bible. I can't begin to say how sorry I am for your loss. I will pray that your heart will heal.

I wish we lived closer so we could chat and have play dates :-).
